Press release - Takeover of KLEIN Stoßwellentechnik GmbH

The motors of the premium automobile brands will continue to be cleaned by KLEIN

Company KLEIN Anlagenbau AG announces the takeover of KLEIN Stoßwellentechnik GmbH

Effective October 1st, 2018 KLEIN Anlagenbau AG in Niederfischbach took over 100 % of the shares of KLEIN Stoßwellentechnik GmbH, a company that is also seated in Niederfischbach. With this step KLEIN Anlagenbau AG is extending their competence in the sector of foundry equipment.

Since 1998 KLEIN Stoßwellentechnik GmbH is supplying their products and services to the international automotive sector and its suppliers. Under the trademark Cerabite® castings are cleaned by means of underwater capacitor discharges. With this process sand cores, ceramic cores, coatings and chippings are removed out of complex castings such as motor blocks or motor heads after the moulding process. Thanks to the employment of state-of-the-art robot technology, the process is fully automatic and suited for serial operation. In the meantime the CERABITE® technology is also used in applications others than the automotive sector. The range of services comprises laboratory tests, design and production of turn-key systems, installation and commissioning as well as preventive maintenance and service.

In search of a potential succession for KLEIN Stoßwellentechnik GmbH, the owner Reinhold Thewes had been engaged in intensive conversations with the executive board of KLEIN Anlagenbau AG for some time. In his considerations he focussed on maintaining the jobs for the future. This aim was achieved by selling his company to the local KLEIN Anlagenbau AG, which is active in the same industrial sector. As a hundred percent subsidiary of KLEIN Anlagenbau AG, KLEIN Stoßwellentechnik will continue to serve the market with its range of proven products and services. The know-how is kept in the company and continuity in business relations is guaranteed. Both companies are successor companies of the former Alb. Klein GmbH & Co. KG, Niederfischbach.

The managing directors of KLEIN Anlagenbau AG, Thorsten Brandt and Joachim Buchen, consider the integration of the product range Stoßwellentechnik as the next important step in the further corporate development. In addition to the products for the foundry industry, KLEIN Anlagenbau AG has established its reputation as a leading supplier of sand filling systems for rail vehicles on the international market. In the first months of 2019, both companies will move into the new company building in the industrial area “Hommeswiese” in Freudenberg (production hall with 2800 m² and office building with 1300 m²).
